One of the main advantages new power grid over traditional is intelligent energy management by customer and Operator. Energy supply, demand response management, consumption regulation are only possible with smart metering system. Smart meters component that Hence, a compromised meter or successful attack against this entity may cause data theft, falsification, server/device manipulation. Therefore, grids’ develop-ment guarantee their services related to ability avoid attacks disasters ensuring high security. This paper aims provide secure lightweight security protocol respects IOT device constraints. The proposition deploys distributed OTP calculations combined Blake2s hash function Ascon AEAD cipher ensure authentication, confidentiality, integrity. We propose performance analysis, an informal formal evaluation made AVISPA-SPAN tool. Also, we compare proposed other similar works. assessment proves light, valid, secure, robust many threaten NAN area system, namely MITM replay attacks.
